Company Overview:

Diagnostic Assessment Services is a leading special education consulting firm that provides expert assessment and intervention services to charter schools across the state of Texas. Our mission is to support educational institutions in creating effective learning environments through comprehensive behavioral and educational assessments, consultations, and interventions. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team in a hybrid position, offering both on-site and remote support to our partner schools.

Job Summary:

The School-Based BCBA will work across multiple charter schools to provide comprehensive behavioral services. This includes conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), developing and implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs), writing behavior goals, and providing consultation and training to school staff. The BCBA will play a crucial role in promoting positive behavior and supporting students' educational and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the causes and functions of student behaviors.

- Develop and write individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment data.

- Write measurable and achievable behavior goals tailored to each student's needs.

- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to implement and monitor BIPs effectively.

- Provide on-site and remote consultation and support to school staff regarding behavioral strategies and interventions.

- Deliver training sessions for teachers and staff on behavior management, intervention techniques, and implementation of BIPs.

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans and modify them as necessary.

- Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform decision-making and adjustments to interventions.

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, plans, progress, and consultations.

- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports all students' behavioral and academic success.

Qualifications:

- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.

- Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a BCBA in a school setting.

- Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.

- Experience conducting FBAs and developing BIPs.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in behavior analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in charter schools.

- Familiarity with Special Education and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
