JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical software solutions that power our suite of collaboration and productivity tools. Developer will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and drive the continuous improvement of our engineering practices and processes. Developer closely with project stakeholders to identify gaps, knowledge areas and implement effective solutions. Specialist will possess key knowledge of Atlassian products including, but not limited to JIRA Service Manager, Confluence, Zephyr, and all related products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop highly scalable, robust, and maintainable software systems using modern languages, frameworks, and configuring workflows with best practices.
- Experience working with Atlassian tools, including administration, customization, rapid prototyping, and data management from varied sources, evaluating dimensions, building relationships and hierarchies, relating data across sources, etc.
- Experience in defining and maintaining the long-term data architecture strategy, aligning it with Atlassian tool with Enterprise goals and technology vision via requirements collection, documentation, solution architecture, design, development and facilitate the target solution design.
- Understanding of key concepts related to master data management, data standards and data organizations preferably including IT data modeling.
- Document and maintain architectural design, technical configuration, and mapping for managing the Atlassian systems and services.
- Knowledgeable with Portfolio and Project management functions and processes including the fundamental aspects of reporting and analyzing an investment portfolio, progress, health, and other metrics that are deemed important to management.
- Manage and drive the non-functional requirements, business metrics, data definitions and data standards. Lead/assist efforts to resolve data quality problems collaborating with process owners, subject matter experts and data management stakeholders.
- Develop metrics dashboards and advanced filters to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reporting while Identifying areas for process improvement and automation to improve efficiency and operations.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Required Minimum QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Active Clearance: Public Trust or Secret Clearance or Ability to Obtain
- U.S. Citizenship Required for USG work.
- At least 10 years of Application Software Developer experience
- Proficiency in programming languages
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, include Agile.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, Groovy script, SQL, JQuery, HTML/XHTML/CSS, REST APIs
- Experience with other similar tools like ServiceNow and Tableau
- An ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience working with Atlassian JIRA, including tool administration and customization and data from varied sources, evaluating dimensions, building relationships and hierarchies, relating data across sources, etc.
- Knowledgeable with DB technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server etc.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing architectures.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple training initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience producing technical documentation to communicate standard operating procedures and detailed analysis.
- Experience working with cross functional teams and demonstrating strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with federal clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide quick solutions to issues.
- Experience in data warehousing, including experience working with ETL processes, relational and OLAP structures and dimensional modeling.
CERTIFICATIONS
- Certified CompTIA, Microsoft, or related industry certification preferred.
