Job Description

Prescient Edge, in support of National Air and Space Intelligence Center contract requirements, is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer to design/architect a next generation data management application. The selected candidate shall:

• Familiarize themself with current data requirements, architecture, and schematics
• Aid in developing business rules, any and all new databases
• Use any and all new software utilizing current best practices in industry
• Scope immediate IT needs

• 10 Years of experience
• Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from university or institution accredited by the U.S. Department of Education
• Knowledge and experience with HTML, C , Java/scripting/ ECMAscript, and Linux
• Highly motivated and self-starting
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript application frameworks such as React or Vue.js or Back-end service Programming in Python.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
• Ability to successfully work in a team environment
• Ability to remain flexible and adaptable
• Demonstrated ability and eagerness to learn new technologies
• Demonstrated openness for learning, growth, and coaching by senior level teammates
• General knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to effectively utilize problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform tasks within predefined guidelines and procedures as assigned by manager or project team 
• Must be willing to travel
• Have demonstrated experience in developing Angular user interfaces for web applications.
• Be well versed in many of the following programming languages, tools, technologies, and standards that are used by the project:
• Angular
• Java
• Python
• SQL
• PHP
• Cloud (AWS) technologies
• Docker
• Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
• Linux
• Have good written and verbal communication skills, and excellent attention to detail.
• Security certification is preferred.
• Experience with aircraft and/or mission systems is preferred.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS)
• Knowledge of HTTP and related standards such as REST
