Job Description:

This is an entry level Accountant position, perfect for someone eager to continue their development and acquire new skills. Accountants have a great working knowledge of basic accounting skills used to apply professional judgment and the best client support. The ideal candidate is interested in self-development and can easily adapt new software and procedural advancements. This person should have a high aptitude for client service and the confidence to work with minimal supervision and oversight. Our onboarding process provides an immense amount of on-the-job training, tutorials, and SOPs to gain the technical skills and internal knowledge required to perform this role effectively.

Essential Job Functions:

• Record and reconcile client bookkeeping transactions (daily/weekly/monthly/annually)
• Prepare and review client payroll, sales tax, and 1099s
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Bank and credit reconciliations
• Client assistance with third-party vendors
• Onboarding and transitioning clients onto accounting platforms
• Client Relationship Manager – primary point of contact and oversees client engagements and internal workload for a specific group of clients

Education and Experience:

• Minimum Associate’s degree in accounting or related field
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, primarily Excel
• Familiarity with collaboration and communication software (ex. Microsoft Teams)

Preferred:

• 1 years of professional experience
• 1-2 years minimum training and/or experience with QuickBooks Online

Schedule & Location:

• FT – 40 hrs per week, in office or hybrid work from home model (Chaska, MN)
• Extended hrs during busy season (November - February)
• Decreased Summer hours, 36 hrs/week requirement (Memorial Day to Labor Day)
