Date Available: 05/23/2022 NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING SPECIAL REVENUE ACCOUNTANT Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants to serve as Special Revenue Accountant. The Special Revenue Accountant will provide direct finance and budget support to the Executive Director of Personalized Learning, Director of Special Education, and Director of Curriculum and Learning, while working closely with the Business Office. They will perform various accounting functions including but not limited to special revenue state and federal reporting, budgeting, and reconciling, supporting other grant writing efforts, providing audit support to the Business Office and ensuring procedures and controls are in place and working as intended, so that the fiscal accounts of the district are maintained. Eden Prairie is a school district with 1,400 employees serving approximately 8,600 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming. Four-year degree or equivalent, in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
Two to four years’ experience with Minnesota school district funding desired.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of accounting/payroll procedures.
Understands governmental accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP) and the Uniform Financial Accounting and Reporting System (UFARS) with respect to the district’s financial activities.
Demonstrated written and verbal skills, organizational and management skills, ability to work with multi tasks and to provide detailed accurate financial statistics.

RATE OF PAY:
$77,880/year
HOURS PER DAY:
Full-Time, 8 hours/day
WORKING DAYS PER YEAR:
260 working days/year (This is a regular, year-round, full-time position that includes paid holidays, vacation and sick days).
PAID HOLIDAYS:
11 paid holidays/year (included 4 floating holidays to use at your discretion)
VACATION DAYS:
20 paid days/year
