Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer in our Greenwood Village, CO office. Typical projects involve helping local, state, and federal clients complete stormwater management, floodplain management and other watershed planning projects.

Dewberry offers a comprehensive and very competitive package of insurance programs to regular full-time employees and their eligible dependents the first of the month following their date of hire. The insurance package includes: medical, dental, vision, and supplemental life. Additional insurances, at no cost to the employee: life (employee only), accidental death and dismemberment, business travel and accident, and short- and long-term disability are also provided. Employees pay a share of Dewberry’s premium expenses (on a pre-tax basis) for medical and dental insurance plans.

Positions within our officer program are also eligible for an annual bonus and stipend. Both vary based on level within the program and bonuses are dependent upon company performance.

Responsibilities

  • Create and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models. 
  • Conduct storm water and watershed master planning, stream restoration, and water quality studies.
  • Drainage design, storm water management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and floodplain analysis.
  • Assist team with the generation of construction documents for water resource projects.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
  • Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics.
  • Knowledge of floodplain delineation, storm water management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and drainage design.
  • Familiarity with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, CUHP, and SWMM is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Familiarity with GIS Applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

The projected range for this position is $73,500 - $76,500 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
