Dewberry is currently seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join our expanding Site-Civil department in our Raleigh, NC office.

Firm understanding of project phases from kick-off to closeout. Work as technical lead to accomplish:

1. Preliminary Engineering Due Diligence.2. Research codes, ordinances and apply regulatory requirements required for site and land development projects.3. Develop Conceptual Plans Based upon due diligence, research, and client requirements4. Prepare Construction Plans for projects using Civil 3D including: Site Plan Layout, grading and drainage design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, water and sanitary sewer utilities, erosion and sediment control design and details.5. Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.6. Prepare and obtain all necessary permits through various Federal, State and Local Government agencies.7. Coordinate with Other technical Disciplines as required. 8. Collaborating and managing design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.

B.S. in Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program 5 years of progressive design experience directly related to site/civil development projects. NC Licensed Professional Engineer (or if licensed outside NC, ability to obtain NC license within one year) Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Proven track record of meeting project and client deadlines. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and municipal/county and regulatory /agency review staff. Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Writing and compiling stormwater reports and/or narratives.
