Description

Job Title: Recruiting Manager

Classification: Full-Time Year-Round

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Date Updated: 2-1-2024

Responsible for managing the entire recruiting process (salaried and non-salaried) for all of DTR properties. Works proactively with Managers and Directors to assess staffing needs. Solicits passive candidates for all positions using phone, social media, relationship building with the goal of filling all positions in a timely manner. Develop and maintain a robust international recruiting program. Manage international recruiting process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement DTR recruitment plan in conjunction with the HR Director.
  • Proactively manage the recruiting process for all Management, Line Level, and International Employees. 
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage international recruitment programs. Manage relationship with international recruiting agencies. 
  • Research, register for, organize, and attend external job fairs. Help organize seasonal internal, on-site job fairs.
  • Actively recruit on all viable platforms. Frequent evaluation of platform effectiveness as well as identifying alternatives. Post all positions internally. 
  • Research and maintain relationships with temporary agencies to fill immediate, short-term, contracted staffing needs.
  • Keep track of ROI on recruiting events; establishing relationships with potential and current partner organizations including, but not limited to Culinary Institute of America (CIA), Johnson & Wales, Metropolitan State University of Denver, Middle Park high school, Colorado Workforce, etc. 
  • Build and maintain a candidate pool with resumes, applications, and job profiles/contact info for qualified candidates in specific positions.
  • Establish relationships and work with department managers to assess and identify ongoing departmental hiring and recruitment needs. Maintain staffing roster and ensure department recruitment for positions is in line with budget.
  • Conduct initial phone screens for hourly positions. Forward to hiring manager, if applicable, and follow-up as needed.
  • Extend hourly job offers according to approved Personnel Action Notice (PAN) info submitted by manager.
  • Manage to the recruiting budget
  • Conduct Background Checks and work with HR Director on any “adverse action” replies.
  • Conduct “direct hire” phone interviews, if requested by specific department.
  • Work closely with HR Coordinator on hire dates, housing availability, on boarding process, start date timing etc. Send “first day worked” calendar invite to HR coordinator for any new hire.
  • Update internal job postings. 
  • Provide recruitment updates to HRD for review at weekly staff meetings. 

Human Resources

  • Assist and oversee new hire on-boarding. 
  • Schedule and conduct New Hire Orientation as often as needed. 
  • Help HR Director develop and implement a cross-training program to maximize full-time, year-round labor, especially during off-seasons.
  • Work with HR Director to develop “bench strength” and develop internal talent pool.
  • Maintain list of new hires and notify managers of upcoming new hire orientation (NHO) session. Work with sales coordinator to book meeting room, order lunch etc.
  • Responsible for the Referral Tracking and payouts to employees. 
  • Perform any other duties as directed by Human Resources Director. 

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in international recruiting required; seasonal hospitality background strongly preferred.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required. 
  • Knowledge of and prior use of Paylocity or other online applicant tracking system strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to quickly learn and master web-based computer systems.
  • Prior HR experience helpful.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills helpful.
