 Principal Purpose of Job: 

The Preventative Maintenance Engineer is responsible for painting, dry wall and physical repair to all guest rooms, suites and cabins as assigned. They are responsible for executing the repairs and coordinating with housekeeping for final deep clean and inspect for Perfect Room Status. They are also responsible for performing the job in a safe and efficient manner and performing trade jobs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  •  Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  •  Change out light bulbs, perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include vinyl repair touch up paint minor furniture repair tub caulking tile repairs etc. 
  •  Perform preventive maintenance for ice machines refrigerators kitchen equipment laundry equipment HVAC guest rooms meeting rooms the swimming pool and hot tub.
  •  Perform plumbing repair laundry equipment repair preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply, monitor energy conservation repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request. 
  •  Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine findings perform other tasks jobs and assigned by the supervisor or manager. 
  •  Assure each day’s activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. 
  •  Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains) electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, HVAC equipment, cosmetic items, extension cord, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and program TVs.
  •  Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report any maintenance properly store flammable materials. 
  •  Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. 
  •  Welcome and acknowledge all guests acceding to company standards, anticipate and address guests service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation adhere to quality expectations and standards. 
  •  Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of the other employees. 
  •  Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping enter and locate work related information using computer perform other reasonable job duties and requested. 

Requirements

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

Personal Attributes:

  • Ability to work efficiently and safely.
  • Ability to cooperate with staff ranch-wide under the direction of the Facilities Director
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong follow up mentality to ensure all projects are completed in full and in a timely manner

Physical Demands:

  • Able to stand for entire shift.
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Able to tolerate exposure to extreme cold, snow, rain and heat.
  • Excellent hand dexterity

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be a minimum 21 years of age
  • 1-2 years previous maintenance experience preferred.

 Special Skills/Equipment: 

  •  Technical knowledge of building maintenance and ability to operate computer equipment 
  •  Must be fluent in English
