If so, join our team as we are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Linkage Coordinator to join our close-knit team at Detroit Recovery Project.
Who We Are:
Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.
Our program philosophy is rooted in developing a healthy recovery ecosystem for those seeking long-term recovery. Through strong therapeutic relationships with our clients, helping them to understand the underlying social and emotional issues that drive their substance use, the recovery ecosystem focuses on five key areas:

What we’re looking for:
DRP is currently seeking a full-time Linkage Coordinator. The Linkage Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and linking HIV-positive clients to HIV medical care through the implementation of outreach, brief intervention sessions, graduated disengagement, and follow up under the supervision of the Program Director. The Linkage Coordinator will work with diverse ethnic and cultural communities including, but not limited to the following populations: people of color, gay/lesbian/ bisexual/ transgender/questioning community, monolingual and/or undocumented immigrants, SUD, and unhoused persons of varying ages.
Compensation Range: The starting pay range for this position is $40,000-$45,000 per year and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This is a salaried-exempt role that is ineligible for overtime compensation.
The Ideal candidate will:
  • Have knowledge of HIV/AIDS risk behaviors, STDs, human sexuality, SUD, and HIV behavior change principles and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain written documentation (assessments, service plans, progress notes, monthly reports, and other programmatic documentation)
  • Have a great attitude and people skills; strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Have a flexible work schedule to include the occasional evening, holiday and weekend as needed.
  • Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate’s degree in guidance and counseling, psychology, social work, vocational rehabilitation, business or public health administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Updated tuberculosis test (annual requirement) read, reviewed, and dated by a clinician within 6 months of start date.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Minimum of one year experience in providing direct services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS
  • A valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Electronic Health/Medical Records Systems is a plus!
