Who We Are
Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation is a community-based organization in Southwest Detroit that DHDC has a broad range of integrated services for youth, adults and families that create a continuum of care and a pathway to self-determination. Their programs include after-school and summer Youth programs for children ages 5 to 24, including STEAM programs, Youth Development, Trauma and healing.
The STEAM and Robotics programs include the Robotics Engineering Center of Detroit (RECD), which is a build site for 8 FIRST Robotics teams and 40-50 professional mentors. STEAM programs include music and video production, 3D printing, graphic design, virtual reality, and programming and coding.
Work Schedule:
January-April: FIRST Robotics Season: 12pm-8pm during (Including some weekends), September -December and April - May: Urban Arts After School Program: 11am-7pm
July-August: Summer Program 7:30am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday and 9am-5p Fridays
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Program Assistant's position will provide administrative and logistical support to the Department Director and other team members. Tasks include answering phone calls, emails, scheduling and coordinating team activities such as meetings and workshops and assisting in the delivery of services to program participants. The Robotics Manager is responsible for supporting daily program operations, material, and activities of the STEAM and Robotics Programs
