The Student Success Coach will engage with individual students and their parents from SW Detroit and downriver high schools as well as college students who are currently in or have participated in DHDC youth programs to provide ongoing support and career counseling, and connect them to post-secondary education opportunities, support services, and internships.
The College to Career program consists of a comprehensive set of interventions that seek to reduce barriers for underrepresented high school students to enter college and graduate. These activities include college readiness workshops, college tours, assistance with completion of FAFSA, scholarships and college applications, mentoring and follow-up once enrolled in college, and work experience.
