Overnight Lead Animal Care Attendant

We are looking for an Overnight Lead Animal Care Attendant to Join Our Pack at New York Dog Spa & Hotel.

REPORTS TO: General Manager

Pay: $18.00 / Hour

Schedule: Part-Time (20 Hours)

Looking for an experienced Overnight Lead Animal Care Attendant who is a self-starter, knowledgeable about cleaning, equipment and techniques who will be responsible for working independently to help our team clean and maintain our dog boarding and daycare facility in the heart of Chelsea.

Responsibilities:

• Clean (vacuum and mop) floors, walls, baseboards, shelving, and all other areas throughout the facility as required.
• Dusting throughout premises as needed.
• Clean all internal and external windows and glass.
• Clean outside facade and hose down sidewalk
• Clean all aspects of bathrooms.
• Ensure that bathroom hand soap and hand towels are always stocked.
• Using step ladder to clean overhead pipes, ducting, HV/AV intakes (up to approx. 9 feet)
• Report any broken items to the front desk manager for repair.
• Cleaning supply management, manage and make known to front desk when supplies are running low for reordering.
• Laundry (rags and dogs’ beds)
• Stand in for dog care and walking when needed.

Requirements

 Education/Experience Qualifications

• Must be comfortable around all sizes and breeds of dogs.
• Minimum of 3 years custodian/cleaning experience
• Experience and knowledge of chemicals and how to mix them (e.g., bleach and pine sol)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written in English) skills.
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be comfortable on ladders.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Must be physically fit to lift dogs 50 lbs., kneel, stand for long periods of time, and perform requirements of the job.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Wanting to become a Dog Groomer, No Problem!

Here at Destination Pet, you will have the opportunity to become a Professional Dog Groomer. All that is required is to be employed with Destination Pet full-time or part- time for 6 months. Once that is completed you will contact your General Manager. From there they will enroll you into the program of Paragon school of Pet Grooming free of charge. We encourage on helping you to succeed your dreams in the pet care industry and hope you will join our pack!
