Area Assistant Director of Human Resources should have HR generalist knowledge, and be versed in the specific areas of payroll, training & development, benefits, workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, colleague and labor relations, and local diversity initiatives. This highly visible role in partnership with the Area Director of Human Resources, assists in short and long-term planning of the HR function and is heavily involved in executing the HR initiatives and hotel goals. Hyatt strives to develop Area Assistant Directors to progress into the role of a Human Resource Director in the future. The Human Resources function prides itself on excellence, service, consistency, integrity and accountability.

This is a salaried position ranging from $86,600.00 - $106,000.00 / year. (Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.).
Responsibilities / Duties:
Inspiring a service-oriented culture is one of the most critical roles for this position. In addition, this position will require a large emphasis on creating strategies to engage & retain talent that supports our goal of being the preeminent lifestyle/boutique destination in Oceanside.
