Job Summary:
Supporting and conducting technical work on machines, mainly plastic sheet extruder and thermoforming machines, as well as supporting mechanical and electrical equipment, such as compressed air, cooling water and electrical installation
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Solve production and machines disruptions
Perform readjustments to machines
Tuning activities
Operate and start up machines when required
Perform corrective and preventive maintenance
Install mechanical, plumbing or electrical equipment and conduits
Repair mechanical, plumbing or electrical equipment and conduits
Manage mold change and release production at every change of product
Reporting of malfunctions and time schedules of readjustments done
Check product quality at the start of every product change
Report and solve quality problems related to the machines and equipment
Report unsafe situations and operate with complete safety precautions
Monitor order and cleanliness of the work environment
Compliance with hygiene and work instructions within BRC regulations
Contribute to implementing and sustaining the program
Adjust and evaluate machine parameters and other settings
Ensure a tidy, clean and safe process equipment area
Evaluate the quality of products from test batches
Create batch logbooks and ensure proper maintenance
Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects
Operate complex manufacturing equipment
Communicate with supervisors about equipment errors
Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
M-F 12p-8:30p or Sun-Thurs 11p-730a
$26.50 per hour plus $1 shift differential
