Position Summary:

The Accounting Intern for Destaco is responsible for assisting with research, filing data entry, financial reports preparation and review of financial data. He/She will assist with supporting GL, AP, and AR day to day responsibilities as well as project support for key finance inititiatives. He/She will support the Global Compliance Manager in management of Imports/Exports and trade compliance.

The Accounting Intern reports to the Accounting Manager in Auburn Hills, MI. The position requires the ability to work and communicate with other departments, across the regions and with various levels of the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Perform research, filing, data entry, financial reports preparation, and review of financial data
• Assist with backlog & cleanup of flagged customers & suppliers in TPG
• Look at underlying issues and work with customers/suppliers to have a way to function electronically so the amount of vendor invoices and customer invoices which require us to do manual work go down in future
• Support with Compliance documentation and reporting including assist with new initiatives to strengthen processes and reporting
• Ensure proper documentation for audit as it relates to A/R, A/P, GL, and other business areas
• Assist with finance project support as needed

• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
• Great organizational skills

Education and Certification Qualifications:

• Junior or Senior studying Accounting
