Design Outside, LLC is Hiring a Landscape Construction Project Manager Near Warren, RI

Job Summary: Design Outside is seeking an experienced and highly organized individual to join our team as a Landscape Construction Project Manager. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of landscape construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in landscape construction practices, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of landscape construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, material procurement and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Recruit and buyout subcontractors for the performance of project work.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to establish project goals and expectations.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate project requirements, site conditions, and logistical considerations.
  • Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents in collaboration with the design and engineering teams.
  • Procure materials, equipment, and services necessary for project implementation, negotiating pricing and contracts as needed.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Manage project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports, to maintain accurate records.
  • Manage construction invoice process and change orders to ensure timely payments and project profitability.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback throughout the construction process.
  • Conduct project closeout activities, including final inspections, client walkthroughs, and completion documentation.
  • Mentor and support junior staff members, providing guidance and training as needed to foster professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing landscape construction projects of varying scale and complexity.
  • Strong technical knowledge of landscape construction practices, materials, and methods.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with construction estimating software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
