Des Moines Family Dentistry is a growing all-female staffed dental office Des Moines, IA. We are fun, professional, and we work together to create a friendly and comfortable environment for each and every dental patient. We have alterating 4 day weekends ( Monday-Thursday then Tuesday- Friday)and finish at 1 pm on the Fridays that we do work. We have the best team and the best patients in town!
Overview:
Des Moines FamilyDentistry is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take dental x-rays
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Skills:
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Ability to perform patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Skilled in aseptic technique for infection control
- Strong assisting skills to support the dentist during procedures
Qualifications:
- Registered Dental Assistant license
- CPR certified
-Radiology certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
