Description

The Surgical RN will ensure safe and effective nursing care to patients throughout the surgical process.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the instrument and equipment setup for the OR, including utilization of preference cards and ability to anticipate and assist your surgeons’ needs.
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transitions between procedures.
• Manage the patients’ care and medication.
• Review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after surgical procedures.
• Participate in consultations and set up for the administration of Botox, Fillers and laser procedures.

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Superior listening skills with the ability to comprehend instruction and also the needs of the patients.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• 3 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Active RN License as required by the state of FL.
