One of the most highly respected multi physician, privately owned dermatology practices in Morris county is looking to expand our team. We have a need for a full-time clinical medical assistant. Perfect for a PRE-HEALTH student on a gap year or an experienced medical assistant looking for a new permanent home. Dermatology experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. We offer a professional, supportive, team oriented atmosphere, all with a mutual goal of taking compassionate care of our patients.

The Ideal Dermatology Medical Assistant will have the following:

• Experience with assisting a dermatology provider in a fast paced office
• Experience with assisting with biopsies, surgical excisions, IPLEDGE, suture removal and more
• Clear understanding of HIPAA and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Detail-oriented and well organized
• Professional, Friendly and Positive attitude
• Computer knowledge and EMR experience necessary
• Excellent patient care / customer service skills
• Flexibility to work both mornings, evenings and some Saturdays
• Willingness to learn new things

Medical Assistant Job description includes but not limited to:

• Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations
• Accurately and thoroughly document full medical history and chief complaint
• Assisting the practitioner with medical/cosmetic procedures and other patient care
• Prepare biopsy specimens to be sent to laboratory
• Suture removal
• Communicate test results/instructions to patients based on physician’s direction
• Prepare prescriptions to be sent to pharmacy electronically, written or phoned in
• Wound care
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
