Dermatology Associates of Concord has served our area and surrounding towns for over thirty-five years. With offices in Concord, Cambridge and Waltham, we provide complete skin care for all aspects of medical and surgical Dermatology for all age groups.We are looking for new team members to work in all locations!
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school degree required
CMA/LNA certificate desirable
Training in dermatology assisting a plus
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
At least one year of experience in clinical assisting
Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
Working knowledge of managed care basics
Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
Good communication ski ll s
Neat, professional appearance
Responsibilities include,but are not limited to, the following:
Clinical Support
Greets patient and escorts him/her from the waiting room to exam rooms; prepares patients for exam or treatment
Prepares documentation in electronic medical record for provider when patient is ready in exam room
Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
Assists providers in preparing for examinations and minor procedures
Maintain surgical schedule and per-certifies surgical and other procedures, if appropriate
Schedules tests and off site procedures when necessary
Communicates physician referral requests to referral staff for processing
Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
Disposes of contaminated items according to OSHA guidelines
Label, document and deliver lab specimens for processing; completes appropriate requisition paperwork for processing and billing of specimens
Performs patient education when appropriate
Replenishes supplies - stocks and cleans exam rooms
