Position Summary
The Department of Humanities at Roosevelt University seeks to hire part-time faculty in Women’s and Gender Studies to teach mission-aligned, introductory-level courses such as Gender Justice, Gender Debates, Global Voices, and Politics of Sex. A Master’s Degree in Women’s and Gender Studies or related field, preferably with 1-2 years of prior experience teaching at the university level

Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Women’s and Gender Studies or a related field with this area concentration. Experience working with at-risk and/or first-generation college students.
Experience and/or published writing through contract, freelance or regular employment in the field.

Working Conditions
Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds).
