Department of the Army is Hiring a Logistics Management Specialist with Security Clearance Near Picatinny Arsenal, NJ

Duties * Serve the organization as an authority in ammunition/armament system logistics management * Responsible for logistics technical management leading to acquisition and fielding of an intensively managed major weapons system, ammunition, family of systems or equivalent. * Makes critical decisions on issues that arise in the planning, strategizing, coordinating, managing, and executing of projects to meet user requirements and objectives within cost and schedule criteria. * Reviews program accomplishments and makes or recommends decisions on change of emphasis, reallocation of resources, transfer of responsibility, and initiation /cessation of projects. * Participates in formal and informal meetings, conferences, committees, seminars representing the organization to executives and high-ranking officials representing internal/external customers, industry representatives, academics and others. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. * Business travel is required up to 25%. * This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R * This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. * Selectee must meet position requirements for Advanced level for Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty. * Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field Position. * Certification requirements may be found in the Defense Acquisition University Catalog at http://www.dau.mil/ * Critical Acquisition Position- Selectee must execute, as condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties:1) Developing and maintaining Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP); 2) Managing Integrated Product Support for armaments and/or ammunition systems, such as leading the Product Support Management Teams, in all/ or most phases of the lifecycle to include inception, development, production, fielding and sustainment; and, 3) Performing supportability analysis and coordinating supportability documentation for armaments and/or ammunition systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-03 or GS-13) In addition to meeting the Specialized Experience; CAP Qualifications. Individuals occupying CAPs must meet the following minimum qualifications or have an approved waiver signed by the DACM before the final job offer is made: * a. Have four years of acquisition experience. * b. Be DAWIA certified at the highest level for the Functional Area of the position, within their specified grace period, with the exception of Program Management (PM). The minimum CAP qualification for the PM Functional Area is Practitioner level. * c. As a condition of employment, execute a three-year tenure agreement.
