As a Program Support Assistant, you will :
Assist the Branch Chief, servicing and technical staff in matters pertaining to the Federal Claims Collection Act of 1966, as amended;
the Debt Collection Act of 1982, and the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996. In this regard, the incumbent is also required to have a working knowledge of applicable handbooks, program policies and procedures governing a wide variety of program activities that require processing review and action.
Act as the control point for servicing and technical staff in coordinating and tracking actions initiated and completed by maintaining the appropriate tracking, follow-up, and suspense registers, logs and reports.
Keep appropriate staff informed on these matters by providing regular reports of status with alerts of any activities or problems requiring resolution.
Review all incoming submissions from program participants and others for completeness as to information and / or materials requested and required.
Log submissions as necessary and refers to appropriate staff for review and action. Submissions are referred with background and supporting documentation, as required.

Specialized experience for the GS-06 is one (1) year of experience at the GS-05 level, or equivalent, which is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully.
