The Division of Adult Institutions is seeking to fill a Corrections Food Service Leader 3 position, located at Waupun Correctional Institution in Waupun, WI.

including (for full time employees) a minimum of 3.5 weeks of vacation / year, 4.5 days of personal holiday, 9 paid legal holidays, and up to 16.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of all meals on an assigned shift.This position also functions as the lead worker to all Corrections Food Service Leader 2’s (CFSL-2) on a shift, including training inmate workers and staff.
This position is responsible for the duties required in the basement storage, the 2nd floor of the Food Service Building to include the direction of Bakery and Storeroom areas, and activities on the main floor.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule / range 03-13 with a starting pay rate of $22.78 / hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensations Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes.
A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.
S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
