Duties
As a Supervisory Support Services Specialist, you will perform the following duties :
Manage agreements for administrative shared services operations. Plan and coordinate shared services including operational support, budget formulation, personnel, procurement, customer communication, space management, emergency planning and physical security.
Collaborate in planning and coordinating long and short-range program goals and objectives. Develop and execute annual plans and report progress.
Execute and maintain shared service agreements.
Oversee programs and provide guidance and analysis. Analyze facility security assessments and site / building access. Provide oversight of emergency preparedness programs.
Provide guidance for risk mitigation strategies, and monitor and coordinate the closure of corrective action plans.
Collaborate with management on program issues, and prepare and conduct management briefings. Work with top management to carry out broad, complex administrative assignments.
Present controversial and complex issues and recommendations. Brief senior management on the status of significant management activities.
Perform the full range of supervisory duties over a subordinate staff. Organize and assign work and make changes or adjustments to accomplish mission objectives.
Evaluate work performance of subordinates and develop performance standards. Make decisions on training needs and training requests.

This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS). This system replaced the Federal GS pay plan and structure.
Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
The ZA-4 is equivalent to the GS-13 / 14.
This position requires a Moderate Risk Security Clearance.

Salary for selectee's pay may be set at any point within the pay band except for intervals 4 and 5 ($176,621 - $187,377) which is reserved for supervisory performance or for current supervisors within CAPS who already have a salary within intervals 4 and 5.
CTAP and ICTAP candidates will be eligible for selection priority if it is determined that they have exceeded the minimum qualifications for the position by attaining at least a rating of 85 out of 100.
