Denver Health is Hiring a HR Coordinator Near Denver, CO

Job Summary
Provides administrative support to recruiters, applicants, employees, and managers in the recruitment process. Processes new hire paperwork, maintains employment records, and compiles statistics for various HR reports. Conduct pre-employment screening interviews, check reference, and respond to routine questions on HR policy.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for all pre-employment criteria including background checks, new hire documentation, verifications, and applicant workflow steps in the applicant tracking system to meet policy and CLIA compliance. 2. Conducts E-Verify for pre-employment work verification and work eligibility. 3. Supports the recruitment process, including providing customer service to candidates and managers, interacting with applicants and recruiters to onboard new hires, review minimum qualification to determine hiring eligibility, and problem-solve as circumstances change. 4. Liaises with the Occupational Health department and external vendors. 5. Coordinate new hire orientation including pre-work, system/network access, and roster distribution. 6. Makes recommendations to improve processes and implement new program and/or procedures as part of process improvement teams. 7. Manage phone calls or inquiries from candidates, vendors, or internal employees regarding the recruitment process; escalate calls when necessary. 8. Performs administrative/clerical functions such as mailing, faxing, filing, and photocopying; open and distribute mail, facsimiles, and email. 9. Maintains effective communication and good working relationship with employees at all levels of the organization. Projects excellent customer relations in all interactions. 10. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education 1. High School Diploma or GED required. 2. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Experience 1. One year of general Human Resources or related experience required. 2. One year of new hire onboarding experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Excellent communication and customer service skills. 2. Demonstrate professional and operational knowledge of the multiple HR functional areas. 3. Maintains a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. 4. Able to meet stringent deadlines. 5. Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures in Human Resources. Computers and Technology 1. Proficient in MS Office applications, preferably with Excel. 2. Experience with HR Information Systems, preferably with Infor or Workday. 3. Experience with Application Tracking Systems, preferably Infor or Workday. 4. Experience with E-Verify preferred.
