Job Title: Dental Assistant

Location: North Charleston Dental Outreach

Job Type: Part-time (approximately 20 hours a week including one evening shift):

Compensation: Hourly, commensurate with experience.

Job Summary:

Our charity dental clinic is seeking a motivated, experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a unique dental environment serving the needs of our low-income community and includes both assisting and supervisory roles. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of dental care services to patients under the supervision of licensed dental professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to ensure clear understanding of their oral health needs.
  • Supervisory responsibility to a small team of clinical staff, volunteers, and dental students.
  • Team-player mindset to assist with collateral duties, including front desk scheduling, sanitization, and medical interpreting responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a
  • X-ray certifications necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is strongly preferred.
