Dental World of Miami is Hiring a Patient Insurance Coordinator Near Miami, FL

Job Description

Looking for a motivated, organized, & reliable Patient & Insurance Coordinator for a multi-specialty practice in Brickell, Miami, FL. Individual must have the drive & ability to learn in a fast-paced environment while putting patients first. Specific Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility via insurance portals and phone calls.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments via phone calls, messaging and emails.
  • Manage and respond to patient / 3rd-party communications via telephone calls and emails with professionalism
  • Schedule patients’ appointments and efficiently organize doctor’s scheduled appointments
  • Gather and accurately record dental, medical and insurance information from patients
  • Securely store and handle records in compliance with legal requirements, including HIPAA regulations
  • Manage and update patient information via electronic health record system
  • Arrange patient information for the next day’s appointments
  • Help Keep patients’ insurance information up to date
  • Assist in the management of claims follow ups, EOB’s, pre-determinations and any third-party payer request / communications
  • Ability to discuss cost of treatment and provide payment options to patients
  • Patient collections for fees due at check-in or past due.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes and ADA dental codes / procedures
  • Experience with dental practice management software preferred
  • Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Working knowledge of computers for word processing, scheduling, insurance claims processing and records management
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and dental team
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
  • MUST BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH (Bilingual is a plus)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.76 - $22.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
