DENTAL PROSTHETIC SERVICES is Hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist Near Cedar Rapids, IA

Quality Assurance Specialist

Dental Prosthetic Services is seeking a quality and detail oriented, customer focused individual to serve as Quality Assurance Specialist. As a member of the Quality team, you will be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving finished products manufactured in the laboratory, which include crowns, bridges, partials, dentures and orthodontic appliances. You will maintain product integrity, assist in the development of, promote and adhere to internal quality systems, and provide regular feedback regarding quality control findings. You will also be responsible for other administrative duties as assigned.
* Prior Dental experience would be helpful. 
Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains quality standards by approving finished products, confirming product specifications; conducting visual and measurements tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Examines outgoing product for inconsistencies to attain overall product integrity.
  • Documents production results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work; inputting data in quality database.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Assist in the development of internal quality systems.
  • Promote and adhere to internal quality systems.
  • Provide regular feedback to product owner.
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members regarding quality control findings.
  • Proactively contact customer to determine satisfaction of designated cases.
  • Analyze quality trends and suggest corrective actions at company and doctor level.
  • Support company core values and purpose.
  • Regular and consistent attendance at work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively to our customers (internal and external) and to effectively communicate with Lab Leadership
  • Able to set priorities and meet customer deadlines (internal and external)
  • Fluent in using the computer and associated software
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and accomplish daily goals and objectives
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to exhibit excellent eye/hand coordination and dexterity
  • Process oriented
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to see small details and read and comprehend handwritten or typed materials and ability to match shades.
  • Ability to stoop, reach, walk, lift, pull, grasp, talk, hear, see, and use complex repetitive motion
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to make decisions and has leadership aptitude

Successful candidate must have strong problem solving skills, a natural curiosity, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
