Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, and help to ensure patients receive quality care.
Duties:
- Prepare patients for dental work
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Ensure patient comfort
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
Skills:
- Proficiency in aseptic technique
- Experience with medical documentation and HIPAA compliance
- Skilled in assisting with various dental procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to take vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques
- Understanding of medical coding practices
- Proficiency in Opendental software and Trios 5 intra oral scanner preferred
