As a valuable asset to our team, as a Dental Assistant your responsibilities will include pleasantly welcoming patients, meticulously preparing examination rooms, and providing invaluable support to our dentist during patient exams and various dental procedures. Between patient appointments, you will maintain and sanitize exam rooms while ensuring that necessary supplies are readily available. You will also lend a hand in handling administrative tasks, which may encompass answering phones and efficiently organizing patient records as required.

Dental Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly gather patient information and assess their health background
• Skillfully prepare the work area for dental procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort
• Proficiently capture and process X-rays of patients’ teeth, displaying results for the dentist's evaluation
• Collaborate seamlessly with the dentist during examinations and dental treatments
• Assist in the preparation of materials for crowns or dental impressions
• Educate patients on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene habits
• Diligently restock treatment areas and actively monitor inventory levels

Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:

• RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certificate from an accredited vocational school (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience
• X-ray certification required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification
• Comprehensive understanding of dental procedures
• Proficiency in aseptic and sterilization techniques
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail

This full-time position requires availability from Monday to Friday (Half day Friday) with working hours of Monday and Tuesday 7:45am to 5:15pm, Wednesday 8:45am to 5:45pm, Thursday 8:45am to 6:15pm and Friday 7:45am to 1:15pm.
