Dental and Medical Counsel is Hiring a Paralegal Near Walnut Creek, CA

We are looking for a paralegal that enjoys a mix of business and litigation work. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including legal research, document filing and attending trials and/or is willing to learn general business law including how to file corporations/LLC, file trademarks and other similar work

Pay Range: DOE

Responsibilities

  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
  • Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
  • Provide assistance with case settlements
  • File corporations/LLCs with the Secretary of State
  • Prepare corporate binders
  • Finalize employment and other agreements

Skills

  • Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
  • Extensive computer and database expertise
  • Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification

About Us

We are a small but growing health care law firm handling various cases from breach of contract to employment law. We have been around for 15 years and continue to grow at a steady pace - some of our paralegals have gone to law school while working for us so there's a lot of room for growth as well.

Our office is currently in San Ramon but we are moving to downtown Walnut Creek in the early Fall.

We are a true lifestyle practice. Our team consists of happy people who enjoy the work we do together and find joy in the excellent work that we do for our clients. We aren’t driven solely by profit but by the principles of balance and satisfaction. We work hard while at the office so that when we are home we can focus on our families.

We use a suite of cloud-based software including Office 365, Clio, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other programs as needed for your role. We expect you to be tech-savvy and open to change.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
