Cook:

A Denny’s Cook has a “Guests First” attitude, preparing food to set recipes following brand standards for proper food temperature and presents it on a great looking plate, all while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. The Cook also:

• Honors guest requests for special orders.
• Correctly calls the wheel.
• Cleans, completes side work, and organizes supplies as required.
• Monitors waste and other food cost controls.
• Willingly assisting other team members without being asked.
• Provides total guest satisfaction.

Server:

We want our restaurant to feel like home, and you’re welcoming our guests into our home with open arms. Front and center, the Server delivers great service with a smile – every time! You don’t have to be a pro from the get go, but you should be open to learning how to do it the Denny’s way. To our Guests, you are Denny’s.

A Denny’s Server has a “Guests First” attitude, responding to guests and coworkers in a timely, courteous, and respectful way while:

• Greeting and seating guests.
• Taking and delivering great food.
• Suggesting new menu items like our limited time offerings or flavored coffees.
• Receiving payment for the Cashier and making correct change.
• Willingly assisting team members without being asked.
• Helping to keep our restaurants clean, completing side work, and organizing supplies as needed.

Service Assistant:

Reporting to the General Manager and Restaurant Manager, the Service Assistant maintains the restaurant’s interior and exterior, keeping all areas clean and organized.

• Keeps dining room tables cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintains adequate supply of pots, pans, dishes, glassware, utensils and ice in service areas throughout shift.
• Keeps front and back of the house area clean, organized and stocked, at all times, to provide timely guest service

Host/Hostess:

Reporting to the General Manager and Restaurant Manager, the Host/Hostess greets and seats guests in a friendly and courteous manner, receives payment and assists other service personnel as needed to provide total guest satisfaction.

• Greets guests immediately in a friendly manner upon arrival and acknowledges at departure
• Demonstrates safe cash handling procedures in accordance with policy and accurately completes cash, credit card, and discount transactions
• Assists service personnel in providing beverage orders and refills and clearing and setting tables
• Willingly assists other team members without being asked
• Provides courteous service and is cordial to all team members and guests

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in casual dining preferred
• Able to work in a team environment
• Meets Denny’s uniform and grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift
• Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends
• Possesses excellent guest service skills
• Able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions
• Places a value on diversity and shows respect for others
• Reliable transportation
