ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promote the learning and growth of all students by providing high quality and coherent instruction.
- Designing and administering authentic and meaningful student assignments.
- Analyzing student performance and growth data, using this date to improve instruction.
- Providing students with constructive feedback on an ongoing basis.
- Promote the learning and growth of all students through instructional practices that establish high expectations.
- Create a safe and effective classroom environment.
- Demonstrate cultural proficiency.
- Engage students and families in learning in a meaningful and consistent manner.
- Provide all students with access to grade level instruction and essential content.
- Prioritize the social and emotional wellbeing of students and educators as the foundation for effective teaching and learning.
- Regularly reflect on the effectiveness of lessons, units, and interactions with students, both individually and with colleagues, and uses insights gained to improve practice and student learning.
- Responsible for all areas of academics with commitment and understanding of the common core standards.
- Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLC).
- Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
- Employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting state objectives.
- Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and parents concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.
- Must hold a MA DESE Elementary, 1-6, License
- At least two years of relevant experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
