Dennis Group is Hiring a Paralegal (Construction and Contracts experience) Near Springfield, MA

Dennis Group is a design build engineering firm and general contractor that designs and builds food and beverage processing facilities. The Paralegal will work closely with the General Counsel, as well as project and accounting personnel. Dennis Group utilizes multiple subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers nationwide.
The Paralegal will support multiple technical divisions within Dennis Group by helping:
  • Coordinate obligations in Dennis Group’s client contracts with our subcontractor agreements,
  • Develop subcontractor agreements that comply with applicable law, and
  • Enhance our policies and procedures around subcontracting.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
  • Working closely with General Counsel, prepare lien notices in accordance with applicable statutory requirements in the jurisdictions’ rights where our projects are located.
  • Coordinate obligations in Dennis Group’s client contracts with our subcontracts, including insurance requirements.
  • Working with the Administrative Project Management Team, Controller, and General Counsel, as necessary, assist with reviewing and negotiating changes to our standard contract forms with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Working with the General Counsel and Controller, assist with the review, redlines and negotiations of client contracts.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of a SharePoint site housing a repository of contracts, reference materials, and legal and risk management educational resources.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years overall work experience.
Some contracts-related, construction industry or legal environment experience is helpful, but not mandatory.
