The Garden Center Carryout is an entry-level position with a focus on general garden center labor and customer service. You’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently loading products into a customer’s vehicle. Additional tasks include watering, unloading trucks, and assisting coworkers in general Garden Center maintenance.

This position is a great fit for someone who likes working outside, has a positive attitude and aptitude for learning in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, and who enjoys consistently interacting with customers. This is a seasonal position with 20-40 hours of work per week. Weekend work will be required.

What you'll do

*Load plants and dry goods material like bagged soils into customer vehicles *Unload and merchandise stock *Move product within the Garden Center *Price and sign merchandise *Water plant material *Provide basic grooming of trees & shrubs *Perform any Garden Center job function as directed by store management including, but not limited to, sales and merchandising, cashiering, plant care, carry outs and general Garden Center housekeeping.

We are looking for someone who:

*Able to lift up to 50 pounds all throughout the day – bagged soil is heavy! *Work in a fast-paced environment and stays calm and efficient under pressure. *Enjoys hard work and can work outside in all weather conditions. *Can push up to 200 pounds with castors. *Is able to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and squat. *Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.00 - $16.00/hour.
