Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is Hiring a Deputy Senate Services Director and Events Manager Near Washington, DC

Deputy Senate Services Director and Events Manager
The Deputy Senate Services Director and Events Coordinator will support the DSCC fundraising team with engaging members of the Democratic caucus in fundraising activities, putting together large-scale events, and processing contributions to the DSCC. Their time will be split between working closely with the Senate Services Director, the Events Director, and the Finance Operations Consultant.
Responsibilities include:

Senate Services (45%)
- In partnership with the Senate Services Director, oversee principal recruitment and management for the DSCC fundraising program, including:
  - Assisting with recruiting principals for DSCC fundraising events;
  - Tracking fundraising activities principals have engaged in on behalf of the DSCC (e.g. events attended, fundraising calls made, and contributions raised);
  - Booking travel for senators and other principals;
  - Drafting and maintaining travel itineraries.
- Assist with managing the major donor call time program;
- Manage the donor thank you program.
Event Management (45%)
- In partnership with the Events Director, manage venue selection, event planning, and execution for DSCC events, including:
  - Overseeing the day-to-day management of event logistics with external vendors;
  - Researching and conducting outreach to potential event venues and caterers;
  - Establishing and building relationships with vendors;
  - Tracking venue details, including venue capacity, event restrictions, and date availability;
  - Staffing fundraising events.
- Assist with the vendor payment process, including submitting invoices for approval and payment, as well as preparing expense reports.
Contribution Processing (10%)
- Receive and organize major donor contributions;
- Prepare and deliver processed major donor contributions to the Compliance Department for deposit and reporting.

Candidates must have:

At least 2 – 4 years of work experience;
Scheduling experience;
Exceptional attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will also have the majority of the following qualifications:

Experience managing the schedule of a Member of Congress or Senator;
Experience staffing elected officials, candidates, and/or other high-level principals;
General knowledge of the Democratic Senate Caucus;
Some experience with event planning;
Some experience using NGP or another fundraising database;
Some experience interfacing with compliance and/or accounting teams;
Familiarity, in some capacity, with political campaigns and/or campaign committees.

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.

This position requires in-person work at DSCC headquarters in Washington, DC.
