DeltaHawk Engines, Inc. is Hiring a Buyer Near Racine, WI
- Assists in developing a purchasing strategy
- Reviews and processes purchase orders and requests
- Maintains records of parts and services per FAA requirements
- Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers
- Locate, select, develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Evaluates suppliers based on quality, delivery, and support
- Ensures quality of procured parts and addresses problems when they arise
- Exhibits strong negotiating skills and demonstrates proven success breaking down complex issues to proactively identify and align stakeholders to next steps.
- Prepares and executes RFP/RFQ's and analyzes quotations and bids.
- Drives engine cost-down efforts
- Ensures departmental budget is being followed
- Support the areas of Logistics and Supplier Quality on issues related to supplier performance.
- Maintain the ERP system with the most up to date and correct supply base information
- BA in Supply Chain Management or related area of study, or 5 years of experience in a manufacturing sourcing/procurement position
- Strong strategic and analytical skills to assess supplier performance based on quality, cost and reliability
- Must possess superb business acumen and have sound understanding of business strategies
- Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- The flexibility to travel to meet with suppliers and other personnel as necessary
- Ability to efficiently use or learn to use Infor Cloudsuite, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to accurately plan materials using forecast and lead time information
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both orally and in writing with engineering, operations, production, quality, suppliers and sales
- Professional demeanor, enthusiastic attitude with a demonstrated customer service focus
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Sourcing experience in an FAA environment
- Strong negotiation skills
