Position Overview:
The EO&T Risk Management team provides risk management support over EO&T at Freddie Mac. We work closely with all three lines of defense, and business partners on a series of risk reduction activities. You will evaluate application of risk and use expertise to support leadership with our top priorities of risk reduction, audit remediation, sustainability and management identified issues as well as control/process gaps. We continuously evaluate the adequacy, operational effectiveness, and efficiency of governance, risk management and control processes.
The Senior Manager will lead a diverse team and enhance and improve an integrated approach for operational risk frameworks and processes based on corporate policies and standards and, where applicable, industry risk frameworks. Our Impact:
Lead the oversight, coordination, and continuous monitoring of the lifecycle of issues, risks, controls, and audits.
Partner with our IT Collaborators to understand and manage risks and controls associated with IT operational processes, serving as a liaison for 1LOD.
Provide transparency of risk exposures through implementing sound reporting for risk-based decision making.
Perform gap assessments, risk assessments on risks and controls, and advise on effective remediation, driving issues to closure.
Your Impact:
In this role, you will be expected to:
Understand and examine business processes, risks and controls.
Provide risk expertise in Information Security and/or Infrastructure domains
Ensure timely development of remediation action plans and support issue lifecycle management from inception to closure.
Coordinate audits and exams; includes managing action plans to ensure they are completed timely and accurately.
Qualifications:
10 years of risk, control, compliance, or operational risk experience; Experience in Information Technology or Information Security is preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration with an emphasis in Technology, Computer Science, Accounting Information Systems or related field and equivalent experience
Ability to effectively collaborate with upstream and downstream risk and controls stakeholders and influence outcomes
Background and demonstrated experience in multiple competency areas of risk management: strategy, governance, classification, identification, testing, oversight, and communication of risk results
Understanding of NIST, SDLC, COBIT, ITIL, ISO, IT General Controls preferred
Consistent track record of effective leadership, including the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; building teams and consensus; getting things done through others not directly under his/her supervision; working ethically and with integrity

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $164,000 - $246,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
