delta constructors is Hiring a Laborer Near Watford, ND

Essential Job Functions:

  • Physically moves and lifts items or materials (40-50 lbs)
  • Assists with post weld heat treat setup and breakdown
  • Receives, inspects, verifies, stages, and organizes all materials
  • Secures and safely transports material according to company and DOT policies
  • Uses small hand tools and operates material handling equipment
  • Bolt up piping for hydro tests
  • Operates telehandler and skid steer
  • Performs job site/office/facilities maintenance/clean-up
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in building, and oil & gas construction projects.
  • Load and unload freight supplies, haul and hoist materials
  • Maintains a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the immediate Supervisor and HSE Supervisor.
  • Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department.
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Work Experience: One (1) year experience working in oilfield as a Laborer or other field position preferred
  • License/Certifications:
    • Alaska locations only: Current and valid Drivers’ License
    • Alaska locations only: North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Training, required
  • Post Job Offer Requirements:
    • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test
    • Alaska North Slope locations only: Take and pass a Fit-for-Duty Examination


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, hand and power tools, materials and supplies used in basic construction.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Knowledge in metal, mechanics, or other labor crafts
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in industrial construction.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule and meet deadlines given.
  • Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing in English language.
  • Skilled in maintaining positive attitude in challenging situations
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

  • North Dakota locations only: The employee must be able to travel by road within, and out of, the State of North Dakota.
  • Alaska locations only: The employee must be able to travel by road within, and out of, the State of Alaska.
  • The employee will be required to work and stay on site during the work rotation and must comply with all Company and Client policies including but not limited to attendance, safety, COVID 19 testing and vaccination.
