This dynamic team member is responsible for the overall recruitment of resource families to provide foster care. This position involves developing relationships within the counties where Delta Family Services has existing contracts, setting up and attending recruitment events, and overseeing the entire process from recruiting to certification. The Resource Home Recruiter reports to the Training & Engagement Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit potential families, homes and community support to provide foster care services
  • Develop, plan and implement recruitment activities, events and presentations.
  • Work with Delta’s intake team and the county referral departments in order to look at placement needs for specialized recruitment plans
  • Provide communication and support to applicants to effectively assist them from application to certification
  • Utilize social media platforms for recruitment and event notifications
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with community partners
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Marketing or Public Relations
  • At least one year’s experience working in the Child Welfare System
  • Experience with public speaking, event planning and managing social media accounts
  • Valid PA Driver’s License in good standing; able to work a flexible schedule and travel for recruiting purposes
  • Current PA Child Abuse, FBI and Criminal Clearances as well as child abuse clearances from any state lived in the past 5 years
