Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Solution Specialist in Lake Mary, Florida and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.

• 15% Travel required nationally.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

• Developing and launching automation solutions using Shell Scripting and Python;
• Delivering full-life cycle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices-based solutions using Apache Hadoop and Spark across Web, Mobile, and Cloud architecture;
• Performing software development in Python development environments and web service testing using database systems, machine learning libraries and cloud platforms;
• Designing and maintaining coding standards to enhance application development using Hadoop and Spark;
• Performing aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues utilizing Apache Hbase and Hive, Microsoft (MS) SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, and IBM Db2;
• Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, and systems development life cycle (SDLC), utilizing Informatica, Spark, and Python;
• Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Hadoop, Spark, Scala, and Python; and
• Delivering and deploying custom developed applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, configuration and defect management, and production deployment, utilizing Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Axon, and Enterprise Data Catalog.
