Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Lake Mary, Florida and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using various programming languages. Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identify root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have one (1) year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires one (1) year of related work experience in each of the following:

• Designing and developing applications, leveraging Java Spring Boot, RESTful Web Services, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Python scripts, Standard Query Language (SQL), and ReactJS to meet functional needs for software applications;
• Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities;
• Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing SQL Developer, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Postman, Atlassian Confluence, Jira, Jama, and Apache Subversion (SVN);
• Conducting unit testing of web services and web applications, using Postman and SoapUI;
• Creating and optimizing SQL statements, leveraging SQL Developer to load, access, and manipulate stored data; and
• Working with a team of developers to both produce new components and resolve defects through defect resolution processes, utilizing Atlassian Confluence and Jira.
