Work you’ll do:

1. Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional requirements and assist in the design and development of integration flows using an array of different platforms, APIs, data warehouses, protocols and data formats.
2. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
3. Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources.
4. Create professional technical documentation and present for internal and external use.
5. Interface with various external/internal customers such as product managers and lead testers to gather and define functional specifications for software development.
6. May oversee the efforts of less junior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Qualifications 

Required: 

1. MA/MS degree
2. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
3. Active Secret security clearance required
4. 10 years of experience with data engineering
5. Extensive database experience using Java, SQL, No-SQL, data lakes and warehouses, and pre-indexes for enterprise caching (like elastic search)
