    Title of this Position: Director of Summer Camp
    Reports To: Head of School
    The Director of Summer Camp is responsible for providing direction in the area of operations, accountability, and fiscal responsibility for the Providence Creek Academy Charter School and the summer camp program.
    Qualities needed to thrive in this role:
      Relationships- the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and key school stakeholders across the school
      Knowledge- a working knowledge of best practices, our current charter, State and local expectations, systems and operations
      Dedication- a desire to aid all families in providing a safe and engaging summer camp program
      Community- Create and maintain relationships with vendors, field trip partners, and the students participating in the program beyond PCA
    Major Responsibilities Include:
    Under the supervision of the Head of School and Board of Directors, the Director of Summer Camp will:
    • Maintains the personnel and general filing system of all correspondence on the shared drive
    • Plans, implements, and evaluates the screening, interviewing, recruiting, and selection process for applicants for employment with HR
    • Organizes and schedules daily and weekly activities
    • Plans and coordinates all field trips, water play days, field day, and special activities
    • Fiscally responsible for intake, billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
    • Manages daily operations
    • Schedule all employee shifts to ensure proper coverage in accordance with state regulations
    • Remain up to date with distribution of owed bills (weekly)
    • Handle student concerns as they arise
    • Conduct weekly Check-In’s with the Head of School to discuss finances, operations, and student concerns
    • Uphold the mission and vision of Providence Creek Academy Charter School
    • Create engaging and interactive crafts, activities, games, and programs for each group every day
    • Order and re-order all supplies as the need arises
    Essential Qualifications and Skills:
    Education:
      HS Diploma
    Experience
      2 years in a managing or supervisory role
      3 years working in an educational or childcare capacity
    Skills
    Ability to:
    • Communicate accurately and effectively with various levels of staff
    • Hold others accountable
    • Understand and implement protocols, procedures, and policies passed down through the Head of School
    • Remain organized with filing and systems
    • Delegation skills as necessary
    • Collect and maintain pre-hire paperwork in accordance with HR
    • Interview candidates for posted positions in accordance with HR
    This positon will require approximately 30 hours a week for the full 7 weeks of camp, with some time dedicated time (two weeks before and one week after) before and after for setup and break down.
    Compensation: $20/hour
    Notes:
    A criminal background check is required. The successful candidate must demonstrate during the interview process an understanding of diversity, educational equity and multicultural education.
