Position Title: Program Coordinator, Stanton Summer SOAR Program
Reports To: Stanton Middle School Administration.
Primary Function: Effectively plan for and administer the Stanton Summer Program
Essential Duties:

Work with the administrative team to plan the summer program

Oversight and supervision of instructional and SEL programs

Serve as the point of contact for student discipline and parent communication for the duration of the program

Coordination of transportation requirements

Oversight and management of facilities and operations for the duration of the program

Coordinate with community organizations to ensure cohesive programming

Use screeners and surveys to monitor individual student progress during the program.

Collect data to monitor and measure progress towards program goals.

Develop and nurture the emotional, cognitive, and social abilities of all students.

Implement research based instruction and classroom management strategies.

Respond to student behavior appropriately and successfully.

Demonstrate clear and accurate oral and written communication.

Maintain high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.

Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.

Work cooperatively with staff, students, and parents.

Collect and input student data.

Maintain prompt and professional communication with staff, students, and parents.

Performs other duties as assigned

Must be able to work on campus for the duration of the program

2022 Summer school programs receive temporary federal funding. Pay rates are subject to revision in future years dependent upon continued funding.

Qualifications:

Valid Delaware teaching license.

Preferred: Administratively licensed staff or staff working towards an administrative credential

Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences to include staff members and parents.

Ability to organize and carry out all aspects of Summer Program coordination in a timely and accurate manner.

Ability to work cooperatively with staff, administration and support personnel to solve individual problems.

Incumbents must have successful experience working successfully with culturally diverse families and communities, or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with a diverse population.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate services and to coach and support staff and teacher colleagues so that they may effectively implement their responsibilities under the plan.

Ability to effectively communicate with parents, students, and staff verbally and in writing.

Commitment to collaboration and teaming and effectiveness in working within a professional learning community.

Skill in classroom management and ability to achieve, support, and maintain acceptable student behavior.

Evidence of continuous professional learning and a commitment to participate in professional growth opportunities and self-reflection on professional practice.
