    Terms of Employment: 12 Month Employee
    Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with DPAS II and Board of Education policy.
    Reports to: Building Principal
    Salary: Current Administrative Salary Schedule
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Eligible to hold State of Delaware Secondary School Principal Certification
    • Minimum five years of successful teaching experience.
    • Record of success as an instructional leader.
    • Experience working with Students with Disabilities preferred
    • Exceptional interpersonal communication, writing, and public speaking skills.
    • Working knowledge of data collection and its impact on the educational process in the classroom
    • Proficient in technology
    • Required License: Continuing License
    Required Certificate(s):
    • Certification as a School Leader I
    • Certification as Principal/Assistant Principal
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    To work cooperatively with the principal to increase student achievement, provide leadership in specific areas identified by the principal, and successfully carry out the mission, goals and objectives of the district and school.
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school.
    • Works cooperatively with parents, staff and the school community in strengthening school community relations.
    • Works as an instructional leader of academic departments.
    • Assists in interviewing, training, and evaluating the school staff.
    • Work with Lead Teachers and faculty in compiling the annual budget requests.
    • Requisitions supplies, textbooks, and equipment, conducting inventories and maintaining records.
    • Promotes the development of leadership among the professional and support services staff.
    • Works cooperatively with community and social agencies to obtain the necessary resources to address the needs of all students.
    • Assists with the administration of pupil personnel services – i.e., guidance, scheduling, records, reports and health services.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of disciplinary policies and procedures in accordance with the district and school codes of conduct.
    • Assist with monitoring student attendance and disciplinary records and works with resource staff for investigative follow-up actions.
    • Assist with the security and safety procedures in the building, including fire and civil defense drills.
    • Serve with parents, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
