Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma is Hiring a Contract Instructor/Lead - Corpus Christi, TX Near Corpus Christi, TX

Job Description: Delaware Resource Group is seeking qualified candidates for a position as Contract Instructor/Lead in support of U.S. Navy Aviation Training. Ideal candidates will have in-depth knowledge and experience in Simulator Operations in order to instruct personnel in the necessary skills and knowledge to operate aviation simulation training devices. Must be capable of planning, organizing, and execution all facets of logistical and maintenance activities required to ensure Training Devices are ready and available for training operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality academic instruction that covers applicable formal course syllabi and instruction guide requirements.
  • Conduct quality aircrew training device instruction, accomplish applicable syllabus and mission guide requirements, and adhere to published wing standards.
  • Maintain aircraft and weapons system expertise.
  • Prepare classrooms or training devices for instruction.
  • Clean-up classrooms or briefing rooms, returning them to the pre-class or pre-mission condition,
  • Evaluate and record student academic training, aircrew training device performance, and verbally debrief all errors committed.
  • Conduct remedial student academic or aircrew training device instruction when required.
  • Coordinate recommended corrective action and remedial training with active-duty supervisors.
  • Conduct student academic evaluations IAW applicable syllabi and correct to 100% by reviewing incorrect responses with students.
  • Monitor courseware currency in applicable academic and trainer areas of responsibility and submit recommended revisions.
  • Support lesson plan and mission guide revision efforts,
  • Support training device scenario design and programming efforts as required.
  • Review test analysis and critique summaries to identify instruction and testing that requires revision and make recommended revisions.
  • Coordinate lesson revision inputs with other CIs, and Courseware subcontractors, if required,
  • Review monthly/quarterly maintenance literature, safety reports and Service publications for updated information to be incorporated into training materials.
  • Meet suspense dates for applicable new lessons and lesson revisions.
  • Be available for student assistance, and questions when not scheduled for formal academic instruction, training device instruction, or courseware development and revisions.
  • Candidate will be part of a high functioning team.
  • Maintains good relations with customers and ensures information flows within company organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in aviation simulator maintenance instruction.
  • Technical Report writing.
  • Must exhibit capability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must be able to effectively deliver oral presentations to management and customers.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required.


Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an advanced civilian or advanced military electronics program.
  • Completion of Military Instructor Course (desired)
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience as a Flight Simulator Operator or Maintenance Technician or equivalent.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems on flight simulation equipment, including digital and analog hardware, and motion systems.
  • Experience in conducting practical training in checking, repairing, and calibrating critical solid-state devices.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Simulator Operations field.
  • Demonstrated technical writing and oral communication skills.

Security Responsibilities:

  • Must have or be able to attain and maintain DoD security clearance.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Security Plus or higher Certification (mandatory), or able to obtain within 6 months.
  • Forklift certification (as required)

  • Must be able to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane cockpit.

  • Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of simulators and its surrounding environment.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Domestic and international travel as required.

  • Shop floor environment.
  • Will be working in areas with risk of injury from electrical, moving mechanical parts, and by hydraulics under high pressure.

Will at times be exposed to the following conditions: extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
