Delaware Opportunities is looking for a self-motivated, organized, and committed fiscal leader to head its Fiscal Department. As the Fiscal Officer, this individual will be responsible for oversight for a department of five Bookkeepers. The Fiscal Officer should be knowledgeable about non-profits and specifically about local, state and federal revenue streams and requirements. The Fiscal Officer should also be experienced in auditing and review processes as well.
The Fiscal Officer is required to have a CPA or a minimum of a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business, Fiscal Management or related field and at least two years in a supervisory position. Basic function of job is to serve as assistant to the Executive Director in areas of administrative practice; financial management; property and supply management; and conformity of agency practice to all funding sources. Must have the ability to read, understand and implement government regulations, rules and procedures. Understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and Uniform Guidance is strongly preferred. 35 hours per week. Salary range $85,965-$102,516 annually.
